With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Peterson of Holabird, South Dakota, who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammy Dancey and Mary Dancey (McCarthy); her husband Lee; her son John Peterson; and her siblings, Bud Dancey, Mary Lou Gregg and Ramona Gluhm.

She is survived by: her children, Julie Carroll (Chad) of Rapid City, SD, Joe Peterson of Deadwood, SD, Rock Peterson of Pierre, SD, Colin Peterson of Martin, SD, Ross Peterson (Chrissy) of Sturgis, SD and Steve Peterson (Lori) of Holabird, SD; and her sister Virginia Kusser of Highmore. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
