It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy J. Stroh of Hot Springs, South Dakota, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Sufficool and Richard Klinger; her siblings, Hazel Klinger, Arlie Klinger, Grace Stricklett (Ervin), Wilma Klein (Harold), Alice Irene and Olive Jean Schenefeld (Walter); and her son Donald Dean Stroh.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Kaye Stroh Buell (late Karl), Ellsworth (Teddi), Lois Jean Stroh Pontillo (Frank) and Bonnie May Stroh. She is also survived by nine grandchildren (one deceased) and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
