She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Cortez and Emma Grace Usher; her sister Eloise Cortez Kaneshiro; and her husband James Stokes. She is survived by: her children, John Franklin, Theresa Marie (Terry) and Amber (Greg); her grandchildren, Jesse, Sierra, Willow, Christina, Nathan, Ryan and Caleb; her great grandchild Leah; her grandson Henry; and her sister Anita Cortez.
In honor of Frances' lifelong dedication to education, memorial contributions will be used to fund a community project, to be determined, that will serve as a lasting tribute to her love of learning and the positive impact she made on generations of students and families.
