With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James R. Kotschevar of Hot Springs, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 14, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Vincent Kotschevar; and his father-in-law Cyril Nordmann. He is survived by: his mother Rita Kotschevar (Hommerding); his wife Mary Kay (Nordmann) of Hot Spring; his children, Tony Kotschevar (Jen) of St. Martin, MN and Katie Breth (Paul) of Holdingford, MN; his grandchildren, Mason (Jack), Mitchell, Myra, Maverick, Bennett, Chase, Trajan and Trigg; and his mother-in-law Lorraine (Nordmann). He is also survived by six siblings.
