He is survived by : his wife Barbara Janish (Barr); his children, Brian Janish of Lander, WY, Donald Janish of Eau Clair, WI, Susan Cruz of Henderson, NV and Patricia Janish of Yankton, SD; his grandchildren, Michael Janish of Sioux Falls, SD, Andrew Friedline of Tampa, FL, McKenna Friedline of Minneapolis, MN, Mackenzie Janish of Stillwater, OK and Damian Janish of Yankton, SD; and also Bowen Janish of Sioux Falls, SD..
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Michael J Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home Chapel (2500 Minnekahta Ave, Hot Springs, SD 57747). The inurnment will be held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Inurnment Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785). The military honors will be held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
