He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sherman and Ethel Sherman (Olson); his significant other O. JoAnn Stalheim; his son Tom Sherman; his grandson Tim Sherman; his great grandchild Levi Addy; and his siblings, R. Dean Sherman, Leon Sherman and D. Eileen Clark.
He is survived by: his brothers, Randy, Tom and Roger; his sons, Gary Sherman (Yo) of Salem, SD, Randy Sherman (Marcia) of Howard, SD and Roger Sherman (Carol) of Tea, SD.; his sister Carol Feldhaus of Howard; his sisters-in-law, Lila Kaufman of Howard and Janet Sherman; his great grandchildren, Mike Sherman (Kayla), Laura Sherman (Eric Campbell) of Hendricks, MN and Tami Addy (Dustin); his children, Maria, Aliza, Felicia and Tobias of Canistota, SD; his great grandchildren, Katie, Kacy, Kamryn, Brooke Sherman of Watertown, SD and Shauna Jacobs (Mitch); his children, Burken, Tenley of Sioux Falls, SD and Jenny Bruinsma (Travis); his grandchildren, Brantley, Hattie and Wesson of Sioux Falls, SD; his daughter Rachel Sherman of Sioux Falls; and also, Jaxon and Addison of Toronto, SD.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (43496 233rd St, Howard, SD 57349). A prayer will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery's Section.
