He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Roop and Barbara Roop (Houghton). He is survived by: his wife Sara of Humboldt; his son Christopher Roop (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Dean, Janie and Boone of Kingsley, MI; his daughter Amanda Roop of Traverse City, MI; his stepdaughter Meagan Lopez (Cedric) of Katy, TX; and his brother Jake Roop (Linda) of Traverse City, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the American Cancer Society.
