She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Harms and Abena Harms; her husband Wesley Holger Olesen; her son-in-law Mike Staebell; her grandson Chris Schenkel; and her siblings, Dena Harms, Rena Sinning, Tena Bunger, Minnie Handwerk, Iva Dykstra and Harmannus Harms.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Staebell, Bryan Olesen (Cindy) of Freeman, SD and Lisa Buckstead (Todd) of Aberdeen, SD; her grandchildren, Sarah Neufeld (Mike), Megan VerSteeg (Dave), Jason Schenkel (Dominique), Kelli Broders (Tom), Katie Gates (Tanner), Samantha Reyes (Ricky) and Zoe Tobin (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Julia, Joe, Thomas, Ellie, Preston, Olivia, Brogan, Kendall, Kinsley, Treston, Chase, Teague, Constance and Gabriel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Harmony Presbyterian Church (301 Monroe St, Hurley, SD 57036).
