She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Petersen (Wells) and William Petersen; her grandparents, Emma (Johnson) of Norway, William Wells, Caroline (Westphal) of Germany and Peter Petersen of Denmark; her granddaughter Sharmaine Hawes; her brother Ronald Petersen (Alona Petersen); and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Weisner and Donald Brenner.
She is survived by: her husband Arlan Brenner; her brother Larry Petersen (Janice); her sister-in-law Shirley Brenner; her sibling's children, Zonya Tantype (Darryl), Zandra Ankle and Zeyna Kleinsasser (Dean); and her grandchildren, Tonya Thomas, Marisa Redlinger (Brad), Antonio Franklin Jr., Sean Franklin, Jasmine Hawes, Cecelia Kleinsasser, Madeline Kleinsasser and Jacob Kleinsasser. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kuhler Funeral Home (1360 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350-3660). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church (1617 McClellan Dr, Huron, SD 57350).
