He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clem Wurzer and Barb Wurzer; his wife Jill Tschetter; his sisters, Kathi Cermak (Jeff) of Stoddard, Wisconsin, Patti Tschetter (Roy) of Huron, Mary Dryden (Joe) of Lakewood, Colorado and Joni Styve (Paul) of Lansing Iowa; his son Derek; his granddaughter Ashlyn Rae; his nieces and nephews, Alexandra Gates (Nick), Rachel Nebelsick (Jeremy), Andy Dryden (Madison), Sara Voegele (Jacob), Matthew Cermak (Leah), Mike Tschetter (Cecile), Shari Dryden (Danny) and Emily Gorti (Vishy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Felix, Charlotte Gates, Hartley, Houston, Hayden Tschetter, Westin, Corbin Nebelsick, Zoë, Amelie, Gilbert Dryden, Emma Cermak and Ophelia Voegele; and his nephew Brett Styve. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended friends and family.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to the family to be directed to charities of the family's choice.
