He is survived by: his father Alfred Nielsen; his wife Helen Nielsen of Huron, SD; and his daughters, Lori Dorris of Huron, SD, Paula Deckert (Chad) of Mitchell, SD and Amy Fenner of Huron, SD. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
