He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Wipf and Susanna Wipf (Tschetter); his sisters, Leah and Susanna Wipf; and his nephew Joseph Wipf, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Margaret Wipf (Hofer) of Huron; his children, James "Jimmy" Wipf of Huron, Michael "Mike" Wipf of Onida, Jason Wipf of Huron and Melissa Wipf of Huron; his grandchildren, Shadrach and Sheldon Wipf; and his siblings, Samuel, Michael, David, Maria, Judith, Esther and Rebecca Wipf.
