Though Marlys may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Oswald and Edna Oswald; and her brothers, LeRoy Oswald and Vilo Oswald. She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Garbe (Terry) of Alpena and Charlene Polsean (Darvin) of Huron; and her grandchildren, Ray Glanzer (Diana) of Huron, Wendy Overweg (Keith) of Plankinton, Brittany Fast (Michael) of Iroquois and Stephanie Oropeza of Huron. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; her aunts and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (688 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
