She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Spain and Bernice Spain (Parkhurst); her husband Merlin; and her siblings, Robert, Donald, Paul, Jr., Dorothy Paul and Violet Zimlinghaus.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Rieck (Elaine) of Harrisburg, SD and Karen Mastel (Arland) of Wallace, SD; her grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew Rieck, Ray, Neal, Michelle and Katie Mastel; and her siblings, James Spain (Diannah) of Sun City, CA, Lloyd Spain (Jean) of Huron, SD, Ronald Spain (Janet) of La Crosse, WI and Barbara Boone (Robert) of Sioux Falls, SD.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
