With sadness, we share the passing of Rodney Johnson of Huron, South Dakota. Rodney, born on November 21, 1958, passed away on October 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Johnson and Madeline Johnson (Hanson); his father-in-law Doug Urban; and his brother Steve Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Johnson (Urban) of Huron; his sons, Mark Johnson of Huron and Todd Johnson (Kelby) of Huron; his grandson Mason; his pets, Sammy and Lily; his siblings, Deb French (Gary) of Cavour, Mike Johnson (Sharon) of Huron, Dave Johnson (Julie) of Huron, Roger Johnson of Huron and Dennis Johnson of Huron; his mother-in-law Rona Urban of Huron; his siblings-in-law, Keena Wipf, Kory Urban (Teresa) of Huron and Kale Urban (Beth) of Pierre; and his uncles, Robert Johnson of De Smet and Arlie Burnett of Huron. He is also survived by five nieces, ten nephews, four great-nieces, six great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kuhler Funeral Home (1360 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Faith Alive Church (2660 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350).
