He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Wessel and Doraine Wessel (Danforth); and his brother Lonny Wessel. He is survived by: his children, Colton Wessel (Carolyn) of Huron, Kelsea Wessel of St. Louis, MO and Mike Webster (Michelle) of Rapid City, SD; his siblings, Alan Wessel of Wyoming, Susan Neiffer of Huron and Janet Wessel-Harrison of Huron; and his grandchildren, Luke and Jane Webster.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A prayer was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery.
