We bid farewell to Bill Torrence (Ipswich, South Dakota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 4, 2025 at the age of 94. Bill touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Torrence and Dorothy Torrence (Bonnie Torrence); and his brothers, Derald Quentin Torrence, Art Torrence, Arden Torrence and Wes Torrence.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Torrence of Ipswich, SD, Jolene Bosanko (Gary) of Ipswich, SD, Jim Torrence (Paula) of Lino Lakes, MN, June Heinz (Mike) of Ipswich, SD and Jeff Torrence (Helen) of Aberdeen, SD; his siblings, Reva Carda, Reta Smith (Sylvan), Bev Smith (Gary) and Joe Torrence (Linda); and his sister-in-law Gail Torrence. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Church of Christ (203 4th St, Ipswich, SD 57451).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ipswich United Church of Christ, Split Rock Country Club in Ipswich or the charity of choice.
