She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Chase and Joy Chase; her husband Art Swensen; her daughters, Daisy Becker (Jason) and Sara Pearson (Adam); and her siblings, Jill and Jeffrey Chase (Christina). She was also cherished by her family, friends.

In honor of Jo's giving nature, her request was in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local food bank in her memory.
