He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Owens and Jacquelyn Owens (Decker). He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Owens of Elkton, Douglas Owens of Waseca, David "Charlie" Owens of Iroquois, Chris Owens (Maureen) of Westend, Patrick Owens (Linda) of Iroquois, Elizabeth Bodie (Marty) of Las Vegas, Michael Owens of Iroquois and Timothy Owens of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kuhler Funeral Home (1360 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350). A prayer was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 29336 US-212, Gettysburg, SD 57442.
