He was predeceased by : his parents, Letha Bieber (Haskell) and Arthur Friedrich Bieber; his brother Charles; his brother-in-law John Gross; and his granddaughter Denae Delzer.

He is survived by : his wife Trudy Carpenter (Rice); his stepchildren, Rodney Kosters (Char) of Pierre, SD, Josh Carpenter (Kayla) of Sioux Falls, SD, Mark Carpenter of Chancellor, SD, Monica Kjerstad (Don), Jennifer Miller (John) of Rapid City, SD and Rachel Bigelow (Jesse) of Sioux Falls; and his brother Clinten Bieber (Sharon) of Rapid City. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (3107 Chicago St, Java, SD 57452). A prayer was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
