Gene Derdall Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Derdall of Kimball, South Dakota, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gene leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Derdall and Georgiaetta Derdall (Thoms); his brother Gerald; and his nephew Dan. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Geoff (Tonya) of Pukwana, Jessy (Vikki) of Sioux Falls and Grant of Ethan; and his grandsons, Mason and Evan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Kimball Protestant Parish (301 S Babcock St, Kimball, SD 57355). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
