He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Rasmussen and Clara Rasmussen-Clark (Draphal); his stepfather Don Clark; his brother Russell Rasmussen; his grandchild Cayla Westendorf; his parents-in-law, LeRoy and Wilma Bely; his siblings-in-law, Burl Bely, Terry Bely, Larry Hines, Kathy Rasmussen and Rosemary Rasmussen; and his nephew Dalton Bely.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Angelia Bosworth (Jamie) of White Lake, Shelly Westendorf (Cale) of Plankinton and Shandra Koch (Derek) of Plankinton; his brothers, Mike Rasmussen of Kimball and Dennis Rasmussen (Darla) of Mitchell; his sisters-in-law, Julie Rasmussen of Ponca City, NE, Crystal Bely of Pukwana, Deb Bely of Madison, WI, LeAnn Birkeland (Jeff) of Murdo and Vickie Hines of Huron; and his grandchildren, Brandon Bosworth (Madison), Mason Bosworth (Summer), Jordan Westendorf (Kolby), Aubrey, Bennett and Chelsey Koch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service St. Margaret's Catholic Church (417 S Elm St, Kimball, SD 57355). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church (417 S Elm St, Kimball, SD 57355).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Angel Fund at Kimball School District.
