Barbara D. Oates Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on August 1, 2025, at the age of 86, Barbara D. Oates (Lead, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Chilcott and Francis Chilcott (Murphy); and her brothers, John and David Chilcott. She is survived by: her children, Diane, Mary Oates, Mike, John and Robert. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
