Betty Mae Ryan Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on April 14, 2026, at the age of 89, Betty Mae Ryan of Lead, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rolfe Holt and Ruby Holt (Shadoan); her husband Wayne L. Ryan; her siblings, John "Jack", Frances "Jean" and Connie; her granddaughter Stacy Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Dana Frasier and Ryder Chambers.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Clyne (Dennis Williams), Wayne Ryan, Jr. (Valerie), Steven Ryan (Maggie) and John Ryan (Jolene). She is also survived by 11 granddaughters; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of the American and South Dakota School Food Service Associations and was honored with a plaque from them in 1995 for outstanding contributions to child nutrition programs.
