He is survived by: his wife Merilee; his children, Tacy McMillin (Nate), Troy Kennison (Russell) and Abby Simental (Fidensio); his grandchildren, Kelly, Brystol and Mateo; and his siblings, Larry Kennison (Micki) and Sandra DeVault (Dean). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel (80 Dunmire St, Lead, SD 57754).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lynn Kennison Memorial at the South Dakota Wildlife Federation Youth Conservation Camp.
