Derek Nells Myhre Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Nells Myhre (Lemmon, South Dakota), who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Max Myhre; his grandparents, Gene (Eugene), Marcella Myhre, Jim (James) and Marie Daley; his aunt Gloria Myhre; his uncles, Irl Myhre and Gene Lovell; and his grandmother Ethel Johnson.
He is survived by: his mother Linda Myhre (Daley); his son Maximus Nells; his wife Stacy; his brother Douglas (Lauren); his godmother Dianne Hellekson; his in-laws, Daniel and Gail Froelich; his sister-in-law Stephanie Archibald (Ryan); his goddaughter Amya Hoffman; and also, Thad and Caroline Uecker. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home (501 7th Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638). A family service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (303 2nd Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638). He was the secretary of their club, until COVID stopped activities.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Maximus' college fund.
