He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Harwood and Doris Harwood; his parents-in-law, George and Rose Genoff; his sisters, Alice Timm (Marvin), Betty Hartwell (Art) and Ruby Harwood; and his sister-in-law Dianne Abell.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Genoff; his children, Rick Harwood (Liz) of Mantorville, MN and Kathi Olson (Todd) of Lemmon; his grandchildren, Cody Olson of Rapid City, Brady Olson of Lemmon, Kylie and Trevor Harwood of Mantorville, MN; and his brother-in-law Charles Abell of Rapid City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home (501 7th Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Prince of Peace Chapel of Evanson Jensen Funeral Home (501 7th Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
