She is survived by: her close friend Patrick McCart of Sioux Falls; her sister Marcia Hovdenes of Sioux Falls; her daughter Rachel Hovdenes; her sister Deanne Sampson (Dan) of Williamsburg; and her children, Wade Sampson (Wednesday) and Cassie Sampson (Eric Skodis). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
