She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Delsie Van Westen (Schmidt); her children, Tim Ratliff (Tonya) of Crescent, IA, Becky Hunter (Nathan) of Elk River, MN, Wendy Hellenga (Chad) of Sioux Falls, SD and Heidi DeWitt (Will) of Freeport, FL; her grandchildren, Elijah, Aliyah, Isaiah Ratliff, Daniel, Samuel Hunter, Dalton Hellenga, Morgan, Carter, Camden, Adalyn, Emmett and Elliot DeWitt; her brother Dale VanWesten (Shelli); her siblings-in-law, Lyle Ratliff, Don Cooper and Lila Williamson (Greg); her husband Alan Ratliff; her father Hilbert VanWesten; her sister Sherlyn Cooper; and her brother-in-law Robert Ratliff.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family and will go toward mission work that Brenda supported during her life.
