She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Hammerstrom and Esther Hammerstrom (Marks); her husband Robert Smidt; and her brother Alvin Hammerstrom. She is survived by : her children, Jill Christensen (Doyle), Parker, Karla Smit (Bob), Lennox and Brad Smidt (Teresa); and her siblings, Harold Hammerstrom of Sheldon, IA, Lloyd Hammerstrom, Lennox and Verlyn Hammerstrom of Sheldon, IA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
