With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Duane Gene Westergaard of Lennox, South Dakota, born in Freeman, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2024 at the age of 50. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Duane Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Duane Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Harlyn Westergaard and Margene Westergaard (Dyke). He is survived by : his wife Jennifer Herman; his daughter Kilee; his siblings, Faye Vitek (Darrell), Mark Westergaard and Nancy Brennan (Alan); and his in-laws, Tresa Sobiech, Robert Zietz and Cory Zietz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, a memorial has been established to assist his daughter with future expenses.
