He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jelsma and Hilda Jelsma (Schoffelman); his wife Sherry Brigger Jelsma; his son Steven Wayne Jelsma (Willow) of Worthing; his siblings, Lawrence, Eldon and Verlys Jelsma; and his brother-in-law Kent Kiepke.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Myah Jelsma of Worthing and Connor Jelsma of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, Virgil Jelsma (Barb) of Minneapolis, MN, Arthur Jelsma (Marcia) of Tea, Dorothy Kiepke of Sioux Falls and Betty Pease (Bruce).
