He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Carl and Emma Geffre (Lechner); his daughter Brenda Geffre; his siblings, Harold Geffre and Darlene Friese; his grandson-in-law Travis Pineur; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Jensen and Lea Geffre.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Renz; his children, Marsha Lapka (Mike), Brian Geffre (Susan) and Nolan Geffre; his grandchildren, Megan McMahon (Jon), Jon Geffre (Kayla) and Jennifer Geffre (Siddarth Rajavelu); his stepgrandchild Callie VanEck; his great grandchildren, Jem McMahon, Harper and Iona Geffre; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cayson and Coda Hoss; his sister Irene Jensen; his brother-in-law Garrold Friese (Charlotte); Ken Shafer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the St. James Lutheran Church (1002 Moulton St, Leola, SD 57456). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
