She was predeceased by : her parents, Reinhold Gienger and Martha Gienger (Bieber); and her sister-in-law Darlene Gienger. She is survived by : her husband Darvin Blumhardt; her children, Stacy Blumhardt-Howell (Steven) and Darek Blumhardt (Dixie); and her siblings, Delbert Gienger, Wesley Gienger (Sherry), Leila Maule (Charles) and Donna Huber (Joel).

In lieu of flowers memorial has been established to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hosmer, SD.
