She was predeceased by: her parents, Obed Thunder and Florence Eagle Thunder (Fire Thunder); her children, Cleveland F. Skunk, Joseph W. Skunk of Lower Brule, SD, Beverly M. Skunk and Susan A. Skunk; her siblings, Catherine Goodface, Bertha Fire Cloud and Eugene Eagle Thunder; and her grandsons, Derek M. Skunk and Vincent A. Battese.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Shannon, Jarvis Kelly, Julius Sr., Jessye Jo, Jewell Iron Heart, Taylee and Julius Jr.; her children, Lucille Skunk-Marshall of Lower Brule, SD, Fedelia Skunk of Lower Brule, SD, Ella Drapeau (Alphonso) of Fort Thompson, SD and Jarvis Kelly Skunk of Lower Brule, SD.; and her great grandchildren, Tayshawn Battese and Audonne Duran.
A burial was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule. She then started working as a cook's aide for the Lower Brule Nutrition Center a position she held until COVID forced her retirement at age 92.
