She was predeceased by : her parents, Bill Chase and Evelyn Chase (Larsen). She is survived by : her husband David; her children, Jim Hanson (Dana), Merry Hanson and Tim Hanson (Susie); her grandchildren, Chase Hanson (Lindsey), Shelby Hanson and George Hanson; her great grandchildren, Cash, Eden and Mabel Hanson; and her friend Dona Hansen.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel (320 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (203 Harth Ave S, Madison, SD 57042).

Barb's family would prefer that any memorials can be directed to Trinity Lutheran Foundation, Bethel Foundation or Rose Hill Cemetery.
