He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Sundgaard and Betty Sundgaard (Behrman); and his siblings, David, Douglas and Doreen.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Nicholas Sundgaard of Louisville, KY and Mitchell Sundgaard (Marleen) of Littleton, CO; his grandson Zacarias; and his siblings, Debra Schuetzler (Kurt), Dwayne Sundgaard, Donovan Sundgaard (Pearl), Dynelle Stewart (David) and Darren Sundgaard (Miranda).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Lake County Chapter of Pheasants Forever, or a charity of the donors choice.
