She was predeceased by: her parents, Harriet Sample and Wilbur Sample; her husband Kenneth Doering; and her siblings, Wilbur, Leora and Bert.
She is survived by: her children, Kirk Doering (Carolyn) and Pam Friede of Madison; her grandchildren, Zachary Doering, Jesse Doering (Mia), Samantha Taylor (Terry), Alec Vanhove, Kyle Vanhove (Tiffany) and Cassandra Venenga (Zach); her daughter Sandra Onnen; and her grandson Cory Friede. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (400 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery - Madison 456th.
