He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Verhey and Dorla Verhey (Wesp); his sister Deb Verhey; his daughter Katy Palmer; his grandson Kenneth Lindholm; and his former wife Cindy Barry.
He is survived by: his wife Jayne Mengenhauser; his children, Amber Eggert (Garry), Aaron Verhey (Shay) and Sarah Lindholm (Per Pearson) of Madison; his grandchildren, Breanna, Hanna, Sophia, Raeana, Leo, Janeli, Caleb, Skylar, Lesley, Taylor, Megan, Lexus, Riley, Shawndra, Taejaun, Owen and Emmett; his great grandchildren, Abrian, Charlie and Loretta; his brothers, Duane Verhey (Vernice) of Sioux Falls and Mike Verhey (Tammy) of Fargo; his sister-in-law Jean Berger (Jerry) of Cedar Rapids; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
