He was predeceased by: his sons, Steven and Christopher Fiegen; his siblings, Lois Boldt, Judy Jenner and Thomas Elon Pierson; and his grandson Chance Fiegen.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nelson of Madison; his children, Jon Fiegen of Greeley, CO, Tammy Sasker (Jeff) of Brandon, SD, Becky Fiegen of Valley Springs, SD, Debbie Millett of Belle Fourche, SD and Mark Fiegen of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters, Shirley Cox of Wickenburg, AZ, Sharon Stephen of Santa Ana, CA and Janice Stager (Steve) of Aberdeen, SD. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel (320 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
