With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley Wingle of Madison, South Dakota. Shirley, born on June 16, 1926, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mulvihill and Esther Mulvihill (Becker); her husband James Wingle; her great grandchild Mason Robertson; and her siblings, Elaine Kearin, Margaret Loner and Gene Mulvihill.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Wingle of Madison, SD, David Wingle (Deb) of Arlington, SD, Larry Wingle (Deb) of Richland, WA, Rick Wingle of Madison, SD, Laureen Aadland (Mark) of Brookings, SD, Terry Joe Wingle of Marsing, ID and Lynette Nugent (Dale) of Madison, SD; and her siblings, Jerry Mulvihill of Madison, SD and Marlys Manthey (Jerry) of Anoka, MN.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel (320 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:25 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (415 Van Eps Ave S, Madison, SD 57042).
