We announce the death of Ada May of Martin, South Dakota, who passed away on October 10, 2026. Ada will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Messana Bullard and Grace Costello-Bullard; her husband Bud May; her children, Tammy, Jerry and Pam May; and her siblings, Gary, Jack Bullard and Pat Shankster.
She is survived by: her children, Evry May (Linda), Avery May (Liz), Peggy (Lloyd), John May (Shirley), Wayne May (Carrie), Timarie Buer (Jim), Jack Gully (Kelly), Callie Raymond, Andrea Hines (Gary) and Dicky Boy Pierce; her grandchildren, Sandi May, Leni May Sr., Bud May, Mary Jo Fairhead (Jason), Jonnilyn May, Lloyd, Jaycee May (Matt), Leslie Witt (Doug), Jamie May (Star), Karaleigh (Lindell), Jesse May, Sydney Zeigler (Marty), Bradi Larabee, Hayden Larabee, Tommie Jo Raymond, Coy May and Leah Larabee; and her children, Leni May Jr., Taelah Chipps-May, Joey Fairhead, Maddie Fairhead, Juppiter, Oliver Fairhead, Nicole Witt, Evrlee, Lucille Berndt and Tayden May. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the New American Legion (102 US-18, Martin, SD 57551). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
