It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynn Schaefer of Martin, South Dakota, born in Valentine, Nebraska, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ted Schaefer and Kathryn Schaefer (Howe). He is survived by : his wife Darlene Schroeder; his sister Ruthie Ferris; his children, Suzanne Baker (Don), Robert Schaefer (Janie), Reggie Bennett and Denise Simons (Ralph); his siblings, Don, Clem, Raymond and Eileen; and his grandson David. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
