We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2025, at the age of 94, Mary A Nelson (Martin, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Moore (Provost) and Norval Moore; her husband Paul R. Nelson; her siblings, Norma Jackson, Donna Gilstrap, Henry "Bumps" Moore, Norval "Buckshot" Moore and Pat Kelly; and her granddaughter Shawn Marie Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Nelson, Kristine "Candi" Schmit (Candi), Richard "Dick" Nelson (Dick) and Lori Marie Nelson; her grandchildren, Stacey Dawn Locchi and Tyce Nelson; her great grandchildren, Jayme Whipple, Danny Whipple, Alison Crook, Brandon Shandor, Teren Shandor, Holly Stehlik, Julian Scheutzow, Abel Bettelyoun, Kaspyr Nelson, Alexandria Nelson and Maverick Nelson; and her great great grandchild Acelynn Shandor.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Martin American Legion Hall (102 US-18, Martin, SD 57551).
