He was predeceased by : his parents, Steve Verbanac and Lillian Verbanac (Cadotte); and his siblings, Helen, Carol and Gerald.

He is survived by : his wife Rosemary Baer; his children, Josef and Bridget (Lonny); his granddaughter Hannah; and his siblings, Steve, Robert (Sharon), Lyle (Colleen), David (Connie), Daniel, Dorothy, Theresa, Rita (Lawrence) and Virginia (William).
