He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Hanson and Rossie Hanson (Reyman); his wife LaVon Ryken; his brother Bub Hanson; and his granddaughter Laura Brunick.
He is survived by: his children, Calvin Hanson (Mary) and Rena Brunick (Doug) of Meckling; his grandsons, Mike Hanson (Jenny), Dave Hanson (Jenny), Doug Hanson (Mandy) and Chad Brunick (Kara); his great grandchildren, Kasey, Alexis, Karter, Madelyn and Charlotte; his brothers, Marvin and Vern Hanson; and his close friend Lois Eli.
