He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinton Sr. Gabel and Marlus Gabel (Hatcher); his sister Barb Anderson; and his brothers-in-law, Guido Hohenecker and Harold Guthmiller.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gabel; his daughters, Peggy Jansen (Brent), Jennifer Fleck (Kirby) and Carrie Hartman (Brent); his grandchildren, Eric, Shawn Jansen (Ashley), MaKenzie, Gabe Fleck, Hunter and Natalia Schipke; his stepgranddaughters, Bella and Hope Hartman; his siblings, Kay Hohenecker, Sharon Guthmiller, JoAnn Strand (Les) and Mike Gabel (Christie); and his brother-in-law Gary Anderson.
