Janice left this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Lage and Annie Lage (Sleaper); her husband William "Bill" Schwandt; her son-in-law Myron Tempel; her siblings, Darlene Fritzsimmons and Gerald Lage; and her nephews, Tomas and Michael.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Holtquist (Brenda) of Milbank, SD, Christine Tempel of Wilmot, SD and Debra VanHout (Robert) of Milbank, SD; and her grandchildren, Shannen Johnson (Doug), Jeremy Johnson (Angie), Dustin Holtquist, April Tomoson (Eric), Jennifer Athey (Justin), Melissa Ollerich (Brian) and Nathan Tempel (Laura). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
