He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Buttke and Alma Buttke (Fischer); his father-in-law Lyle Wohlenhaus; and his pet Dream. He is survived by: his wife Deb of Milbank, SD; his children, Jeffery Buttke (Shakira) of Austin, TX and Kristi Schladweiler (Scott) of Watertown, SD; his granddaughter Charlotte Schladweiler; his siblings, Brian Buttke (Susie) of Corona, SD, Regina Rethke (Leslie) of Milbank, SD, Ronda Hanson (David) of Corona, SD, Brent Buttke (Renae) of Corona, SD, Bradley Buttke (Donna) of Corona, SD and James Buttke of Spearfish, SD; his mother-in-law JoAnn Wohlenhaus; and his brothers-in-law, Doug Wohlenhaus (Linda) of Wheaton, MN and Dean Wohlenhaus (Marilee) of Fergus Falls, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Living Word Lutheran Church Building Fund.
