Jack L. Hughes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack L. Hughes of Miller, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jack may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jack touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hughes and Ova Hughes (Wald); his wife Leona Hughes (Maxwell); and his sister Connie Borgeous. He is survived by: his children, Bill Hughes (Tonna), Jackie Keller (Jim), John Hughes (Betty) and Brenda Pechacek (Ron) of Burnet, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
